Control mode of emergency light
Oct 08, 2022
The emergency lighting system used in China is mainly of the independent control type with its own power supply. The normal power supply is connected from the power supply circuit of the general lighting. Normally, the corresponding emergency lamp battery is charged. When the normal power supply is cut off, the standby power supply (battery) automatically supplies power. This type of emergency lamp has a large number of electronic components such as voltage transformation, voltage stabilization, charging, inverter and battery inside each lamp. The battery of the emergency lamp needs to be charged and discharged during use, maintenance and failure. The other is centralized control type of centralized power supply. There is no independent power supply in the emergency lamps. When the normal lighting power supply fails, it is powered by the centralized power supply system. In this form of emergency lighting system, complex electronic circuits inside all lamps are eliminated. Emergency lighting lamps are no different from ordinary lamps. The centralized power supply system is set in a dedicated room.
Compared with the independent control emergency lamps with its own power supply, the centralized control emergency lamps with centralized power supply have the advantages of convenient centralized management, user self inspection, fire supervision and inspection, extended lamp life, and improved emergency evacuation efficiency. The system has good reliability, long service life, convenient maintenance and management, and low system price. However, since there is no backup power supply (battery) in each emergency lamp, the failure of power supply line will directly affect the normal operation of the emergency lighting system, so there are special fire protection requirements for its power supply line laying. The independent control emergency lamps with their own power supply have no special requirements on the power supply lines because they have backup power supply (battery) in each emergency lamp, and the failure of the power supply lines will not affect the function of the backup power supply. When the emergency lamp fails, it generally only affects the lamp itself and has little impact on the whole system.
When selecting the emergency lighting, the emergency lighting system shall be reasonably selected according to the specific situation. Generally speaking, for new projects or projects with fire control rooms, unified wiring shall be used as far as possible during construction, and centralized power supply and centralized control emergency lighting shall be used; For small sites, post rectification or secondary decoration projects, independent control emergency lighting with its own power supply shall be selected.
